Closely connected to the “City of Art and History” label, the 1204 – Architecture and Heritage Interpretation Centre provides visitors with a multitude of perspectives on Dijon through its permanent visit itinerary and temporary exhibitions

The 1204, permanent exhibition

On the ground floor, the permanent exhibition at 1204 is divided into four themes: landscape, history, housing, materials and Dijon.

800 years of hospital history

From the old apothecary, visible in 1204, to the Chapel of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem, discover 800 years of hospital history on the site.

Temporary exhibitions “Portes, the art of passage”

Our temporary exhibitions explore Dijon: a journey through the city, a focus on a particular place or an artist’s view! The current exhibition “Portes, the art of passage” focuses on an everyday architectural element… rich in history!

  • From 1 May to 30 September, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • From 1 October to 30 April, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


The 1204 is closed on Mondays, 1 January in the morning, 1 May and 25 December.
