One city, many stories

An animated topographical model traces the city’s urban development before your very eyes. Then four inhabitants open the doors of their homes to you so you can see how people lived in Dijon from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. A selection of contemporary projects also illustrates the evolution of the present-day city.

One city, many materials

The city’s materials and colours offer themselves up to you, creating a sensory journey through the heart of Dijon’s architecture. Stone, clay, wood, metal, concrete and more are deployed in a comprehensive catalogue of materials: touch them, handle them, guess their uses and admire their diversity and the knowhow relating to them.
