Since its opening in May 2022, the adage that “There’s always something happening at the Cité” has never been truer. So it’s time to take a look back at some of these recent moments.
Two years of the Cité!
Culinary shows, tastings, workshops, a theatrical guided tour and concerts punctuated the two days of festivities to celebrate the Cité’s birthday!🎂
Game weekends
This year La Cité de la gastronomie was the host venue for two major games weekends in January and December. The atmosphere was vibrant with board games revisited with a gastronomic twist, treasure hunts, giant building blocks, table football and darts tournaments. Fans of retro video games were also happy to find a space dedicated to retrogaming.
Show les Papilles
Every September, Dijon metropolitan area celebrates gastronomy. The “Show les Papilles” festival of tastes and flavours brought La Cité to life for the second year running in September 2023. It’s the perfect opportunity to plunge into the world of the craft skills of the Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Companies). A great way to discover, taste and enjoy the incredible culinary diversity on show at this gourmet event.
The first gougère competition!
Last July a special day was dedicated to gougères at La Cité in collaboration with the Guilde des goûteurs de gougères de l’Yonne. The event included a gougère competition open to both amateurs and professionals as well as a fun workshop organised by the guild!
La Cité to the rhythm of the music
On 21 June, the Cité moved to the beat of La Fête de la Musique. An evening of over 4 hours of concerts, ranging from electronic to jazz, delighted music lovers and foodies too!
Housology
Friday evenings this summer were alive with Housology parties on the rooftop of the experiential bar successfully combining electronic music with a refreshing selection of drinks.
