A world tour for your taste buds

Visitors to La Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin can take a culinary tour of the world at any of its special events.

Culinary workshops, tastings of products such as Kimchi and Gimbap, a craft market and many other events were on the programme to highlight the province of Jeollanamdo in Korea from 8 to 12 May 2024.

From 9 to 12 November 2023, Greece was the guest of honour at La Cité. These days were marked by the residence of Michelin-starred chef Andrea Mavrommatis, a tasting conference and a four-hands dinner at the Table des Climats allowing people to discover more about the Mediterranean diet.

Japan enchanted the whole of Dijon from 16 to 22 October 2023, with numerous activities taking place at the Cité. The programme included creative workshops, conferences, tastings and Japanese product markets that transported participants to the heart of the land of the rising sun.

Mediterranean aperitifs and the ” Déguster le monde ” (Tasting the World) cycle

Thanks to the Mediterranean aperitifs, one of which was hosted by Mireille Sanchez, and the ” Déguster le monde ” (Tasting the World) courses, visitors had the opportunity to discover many different countries, including Mexico, Iran, Croatia and Egypt, in terms of taste and culture.

In October 2022 La Cité de la Gastronomie celebrated Italy with a programme featuring stands selling authentic Italian products, pasta-making demonstrations and conferences. This event was held in collaboration with Dijon’s partner city, Reggio Emilia, providing the perfect opportunity to savour and discover Italian specialities!
