Visitors to La Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin can take a culinary tour of the world at any of its special events.
World Market and Flavours, May 2026
That weekend, you were able to discover a market dedicated to world flavours, set up in the hall and under the canopy of the Village de la Cité. Japan, Korea, Mexico, India, Turkey, Ukraine, Morocco, Quebec, Italy, China and several African countries were all part of the event.





India 2026
On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April, the Cité’s hall welcomed the little Indian bazaar hosted by the Xonireth association, a true celebration of flavours and craftsmanship. This sensory journey was also enlivened by traditional dance performances from the Hadippa troupe.

Japan 2026
Hanami, Ume Matsuri and Setsubun are among the traditional festivals that provide opportunities to celebrate the arrival of spring over a good meal. Throughout this weekend, the Cité marked the occasion through several traditional activities: furoshiki and origami workshops, a “Japan Touch” make-up introduction, as well as manga and creative workshops.





Morocco 2025
Tasting, touching, smelling and looking: from Moroccan gastronomy, rich in spices and flavours typical of the Maghreb, to aromatic and medicinal plants, these traditional dishes took you on a journey to the heart of Morocco.





Latin American Festival 2025
Culinary workshops, exhibitions, meet-and-greets, tastings, a mixology workshop, salsa classes, Andean music, a South American market and even a Latin brunch…: the Maïz Oui Festival made its very first appearance at the Cité!





Korea 2025
Culinary workshops, tastings of products such as Kimchi and Gimbap, a craft market and many other activities were on offer to showcase the province of Jeollanamdo in Korea from 19 to 22 June 2025.

Qué gusto
The ¡Qué gusto! Festival was the unmissable event for Mexican gastronomy enthusiasts at the Cité. A whole series of exclusive events were organised to introduce everyone to the rich and varied culinary and cultural heritage of Mexico. A muy caliente atmosphere, perfectly designed to tantalise your taste buds, with Chiapas in the spotlight!





Greece
From 9 to 12 November 2023, Greece was the guest of honour at La Cité. These days were marked by the residence of Michelin-starred chef Andrea Mavrommatis, a tasting conference and a four-hands dinner at the Table des Climats allowing people to discover more about the Mediterranean diet.


Japan
Japan enchanted the whole of Dijon from 16 to 22 October 2023, with numerous activities taking place at the Cité. The programme included creative workshops, conferences, tastings and Japanese product markets that transported participants to the heart of the land of the rising sun.






Mediterranean aperitifs and the ” Déguster le monde ” (Tasting the World) cycle
Thanks to the Mediterranean aperitifs, one of which was hosted by Mireille Sanchez, and the ” Déguster le monde ” (Tasting the World) courses, visitors had the opportunity to discover many different countries, including Mexico, Iran, Croatia and Egypt, in terms of taste and culture.
Italy
In October 2022 La Cité de la Gastronomie celebrated Italy with a programme featuring stands selling authentic Italian products, pasta-making demonstrations and conferences. This event was held in collaboration with Dijon’s partner city, Reggio Emilia, providing the perfect opportunity to savour and discover Italian specialities!
